MARNIE CLARKE

Cottaging started for Marnie in the Briars area on Lake Simcoe before her parents moved to Muskoka on Mary Lake when she was 13. Initially, schooling began at Seneca for Laboratory Technology in Electron Microscopy and then while working as a Laboratory Manager for a company focusing on R&D in steam explosion and biomass conversion, she completed a degree by part-time evening studies at York University and the University of Waterloo followed later by part-time studies at Humber in Interior Decorating. Fortunate to be able to spend a number of years as a “stay at home mom” while Bob travelled extensively for business, Marnie eventually joined Scientists in School as a visiting scientist teaching KG, Gr 2-6 programs throughout the GTA. With Darby off to University and Kelcie working full time in Toronto, Bob and Marnie moved permanently to Muskoka, following their dream. Before moving North, Bob and Marnie had bought, renovated, decorated and sold over 14 homes in the Toronto area.
